12 Down, 0 to Go, WooHoo!

October 22nd — I did it! My final Taxol infusion is officially behind me! We had a party in the infusion room with my family and friends crowding around and cheering when Rachel took out my line. We opened champagne and shared it with the rest of the infusion room while the nurses threw confetti. Video will go up soon. As Nurse Rachel said when she hooked up my IV, “this is the last Taxol. Later, ‘gator!” I am so tired, so happy, and so proud. Thank you to everyone who came today and to everyone who cheered with me around the world. I had relatives in Finland, friends in Saudi, and loved ones all across the US ringing bells and raising a glass to cheer my last hard chemo infusion. Woohoo!

  1. Amy, congratulations on this leg of your journey behind you! God has been faithful to sustain you through these many weeks. I am praying the taxol and the other chemos “do the trick” and search and destroy any cancer cell in your body. You have been an inspiration to all of us.
